Immigration Canada NLPNP & AIP Draws July 29, 2025

On July 29, 2025, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada held provincial nominee draws under the two programs: the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). 


The draw issued a total of 150 invitations across the NLPNP and the AIP. This represents the smallest overall quantity of invitations distributed since the province transitioned to an Expression of Interest (EOI) system for both immigration programs.

As of now, the province has sent a total of 1,818 provincial immigration invitations, out of which 1,495 are towards NLPNP candidates and 323 are towards AIP candidates.


The total nomination allocation for the province's PNP in 2025 stands at 2,050, indicating that there are still 555 nomination spaces available for this program. Regarding the AIP, Newfoundland and Labrador's allocation for 2025 is 475, with 152 spaces still available.


  • The province has recognized occupations that are in high demand within key sectors and has exempted positions in these fields from labor market testing. The key sectors include
  • Health care;
  • Information and communications technology; and
  • Aquaculture.
